Brojoburor Sabuj Baksho is a story for children by Satyajit Ray. Brojoburo is an old man who is rarely seen but always talked about in suburbs where he lives. Children are beckoned by him and they are curious about Brojoburo with caution, but grown- ups are hardly at peace with Brojoburo.

Some have seen skeletons lurking by his window while have "actually heard" blood curdling noises from his house at dead of night. Young and old alike "know" that Brojoburo owns a mysterious green box which is filled with instruments of the occult? Adults suspect he is upto malice through Black Magic.

But who is Brojo Buro? Is he a lonly old man whose eccentricities have fostered all kinds of rumors? Or is he working with a more serious purpose?
