The story of 'Patro O Patri' was written by Rabindranath, near about ninety-three years from now.

The story deals with the sentimental twists of 'sanat' who ultimately of 'Sanat' becomes the guardian of his beloved. 'Sanat' narrates his unbelievable life story to 'Abhoy' one of his childhood friends. Director’s Note

It is not among Rabindranath Tagore's famous stories, I don't think many people have heard the name of this story, I said the words from my own direct experience - but when Tandra said from Natyachintar magazine, choose a story and make it into a play? On Rabindranath's half-centenary we want to do an anthology - I chose this story. To tell the truth, I have not read this story before. But once I read this story, I fell in love with it! No, not the story, but the man in whose words Rabindranath wrote the story. or social tension but underneath the story there is an unspoken story which cannot be quickly analysed but if you look at it with a little love, it can be caught candidly. The Saraswati River is the only one comparable to the form the hero of the story gave me. Those who have seen its source face know where it hides itself in its fervour for its own sake, though it has not lost itself or lost itself in union with another. Triveni Sangam is proof that it has not lost its existence. Saraswati river has caught itself by being special in its colour and form. After writing the drama from this story, in the same way, we all the artists of this drama wanted to find the deep bottom of such a river of life, wanted to touch it, if you want...
